My Happiest Day ever !    by L Pullan Mytchet Primary School

So, there I was winning an award for best painting and I tried to remember how all this began …….

I was on 23 Loan Wood Lane sitting in an old dirty cracked cup wedged between two flower beds in a beautiful garden.

To my surprise a young girl maybe ten or eleven, picked me up then studied me carefully making sure I was perfectly round (which I was) she took me into the house.

Later on , I was the most beautiful thing ever covered in swirls of green, blue and red.

She took me to a wide-open park with one small stage with a man presenting paintings then suddenly the girl was running to the stage to present her painting.

I realized that it was not a painting it was a colourful rock, me!

So that’s how my happiest day went.

My Happiest Day - The Ballon d 'or by Rayaan Syal    Tomlinscote School

I woke up. It was 1,43 in the morning and all Icould think about is me potentially winning the Ballon d'or, which is an award for the best footballer of the year. It was a pleasure being one of the candidates in the running for winning such an important, career defining award.

My nerves eventually tired me out and I finally fell back to sleep. I woke up to my alarm, blaring like a siren, my first thought was about how much I had progressed since I was little kid being a footballer to being one of the most loved talented footballers in the world. That motivated me to leap out of bed and get ready to face the day ahead.

All suited up and ready, I got a call from my club (Manchester United) saying that they had arranged a car to come to my Hotel. After a few minutes from the call I made my way to the lobby and I heard the commotion outside .

My nerves consumed me thinking of the fans wanting endless photographs.

I steadied myself and went out side , making my way to the car. Fans chanting my name was enough to make my nerves disappear. I hopped into the back seat, smiled to myself, when Andrew, the driver asked “Ready Sir ?”. We set off for the ceremony.

The journey played again with my head as I could feel the tension building once more, my heart skipping tiny beats and I started to feel very warm and uncomfortable in my suit. I steadied my breathing and opened the window ,before long , we arrived.

I was so relieved that we were not late and was looking forward to seeing some familiar faces. The flashing cameras and cacophony of press and fans was mind blowing . I was ushered in and saw the other four nominees. They were Van Dijk, Messi, Ronaldo and Kevin Bruyne. We wished each other luck and took our seats. There was while to the start of the ceremony, so I took out my phone and scrolling through the infinite number of notifications form friends, family , management and fans, spotting an email form my assistant stating that I had to be back stage … 10minutes ago !

I leapt out of my seat and bolted through the crows to get there. I was so happy to find my assistant waiting for me, advising me to speak to various reporters and journalists.

I was asked plenty about my rise to fame and love of the game. It was finally time for me to walk on the stage and just maybe win the most prestigious award in all the football industry.

After thinking about how far I ‘d come in my career the results were in and the speaker turned on ……. Then the presenter announced ‘Ryaan Syal’ has won The Ballon d’or. As soon as I heard my name my head rushed with mixed, postive motions. I jumped up in pure happiness. Then I was handed the mic and I said ‘Thank you for everyone that has helped me in my life to make me the person I am today. It is a real pleasure to be standing here alongside the same players who have inspired me to tb the best. I am really pleased with my performances lately and I just want to say thank your to all my fans and everyone who has helped me to compete on a high standard level’. I was so happy. After time passed I decided to leave. When I got in the car and when the engine started I thought of how crazy it is – I am one of the best players in the world……

My Happiest Day  - Find Treasure  by  IC Tomlinscote

As the sun shone of the rippling surface of the glistening sea, I thought to myself ……. What a wonderful world! I was on a ship, The Californian Dream. It was an eye-catching ship, with glamorous polished decks, glistening chandeliers and thick velvet carpets.

Everything seemed tranquil. It was early morning, and I was stood on the deck; dolphins sprang out of the water shrilling with joy as people gasped in delight.

I went to breakfast; it was scrumptious. I had pancakes topped with plump berries and glazed with maple syrup. I loved it. I was full afterwards, but I knew after that, I was definitely ready for my day.

Diving down into the dark sea would be extraordinary – a once in a lifetime experience. I was looking forward to it – it was excited to explore the unknown. Though I was nervous, I knew that I had to face my fear.

We all met on the open deck to meet our diving instructor. The instructor was a rather large man with a dirty grey beard and a mischievous grin. He had a stern weathered face, yet actually quite friendly.

He started explain what we would see: Starry Rock Fish, Round Stingray and Scribbled File fish.

My excitement rose as I realised that I was going to observe these majestic creatures! His talked went on for a while and after it, I was so excited to dive.

One by one, the group splashed into the water, rolling backwards gently into the deep blue sea. I was second to last, ready to dive in . Adrenaline pumped through my body as every moment I became more anxious than ever. My mind raced with e very thing that could go wrong.

Eventually , it was my turn; I got on the side and rolled in . Strongly, I

Kicked my flippers , diving deep into the Ocean. I tried as hard as I could to keep up with the others. I anticipated I would have been able to keep up with them but not knowing they were experienced swimmers, I was unable to.

In the end all I could see was a tiny dot of light from where they were.

Feeling weary of what would happen, I continued swimming, thinking that I’d be alright on my own. Swimming deeper , I glanced over my shoulder an noticed a school of Starry Rock Fish swimming beside of me and I decided to follow them. We swam endlessly until eventually we came to a pile of rocks. Looking around I saw a wooden chest. ‘What could it be’ I thought to myself.

Excitement rose inside of me as I tugged open the rusty buckle. My eyes widened at the sight of the gleaming white pearls – thousands of them glistened in front of me.

I looke around trying to find the rest of the group, yet inside of me I knew they were not there. Knowing I had to manage alone ,I put the pearls in a net and kicked to the surface. I swam back to the ship and waited to boast about my treasure. I waited and waited……

Finally, the group were back. I showed then the treasures proudly. Everyone was excited – except the tour guide- he looked blatantly bewildered. Finding his voice he said that the pearls were a long lost treasure that local people lost many years a go. At once he suggested that we should take it to the rightful owners.

What is the Environment ?   by Rshil Goel Kings International

Beep goes a car,
Vroom goes a bike

Hello! Say the people,

Let’s go for a hike!

These are the noises of our home

This is the place we live in

Ur family friends and pets too

This is where we all begin

This is what environment is

It doesn’t matter where we are

May it be the city or the country

It might even be a bazaar

In the country for instance

We have the stones and trees

We have the mud and insects

And we can’t forget the seas

But in the city where I am

Things are not the same at all

You don’t see many insects

But there are plenty of malls

Now let me ask you a question.

Which I’m sure u know the answer to

It’s quite a simple one

Do u find litter in some places, false or true?

Your answer was true – right ?

But we need to change it to false

We need to change how the world looks

Before it gets even worse

These little changes are easy

Just start and you will soon see

The many differences that can be made

By everyone, by you, and by me

Take the single use plastic for instance

It can last almost forever.

Even though it might be cheap,

It’s not really that clever.

So if people start recycling,

A better please the world would be.

The future is in our hands,

Start now and a difference you’ll see.
